Outreach Ministries

Greetings and welcome to our Outreach Ministries page.   Whether it is taking care of our Church home, our members, or reaching out to the community(locally and globally), there are many opportunities to give back and to serve.  CLC is also open to new Outreach opportunities so if there is something you'd like to start up just let us know.

We love working with and appreciate all our volunteers.  We are consistently inspired by our members and the things we accomplish. We are always welcoming new participants.

Peace and joy to all!

Adult Mission Trips

Every year we have an adult mission trip to Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp.  CLC volunteers work with the staff to repair cabins, trails, and shared community buildings.  Sky Ranch is located outside Fort Collins and works with a variety of youth.  Sky Ranch relies on volunteers for the upkeep and maintenance of it's facilities.

Catholic Charities

Families and individuals come to us to begin their journey from crisis to stability, to weather the current storm, or to heal a broken spirit. Our staff and volunteers guide them with compassion and purpose, helping map out the journey based upon realistic goals and abilities, utilizing over 75 Catholic Charities’ programs and services, partner agencies, and community collaborations. Catholic Charities serves anyone in need regardless of religion, race, gender, age, disability, socioeconomic level, or background.

ELCA World Hunger

Hunger represents a year round problem for many across the globe. Helping alleviate world hunger is as simple as a monthly donation of $10.00 towards the ELCA World Hunger Campaign. Just drop a check in the offering plate with "ELCA World Hunger" written in the memo portion. If you prefer, you may pay it all in one lump sum rather than every month.   Every spring, CLC focuses on world hunger by participating  in the ELCA Global Barnyard project where you can donate towards the purchase of farm animals which are given to communities in need.

Field Elementary

We partner with a neighbor school, where most of the students are on free and reduced lunches.  We support them by donating to their food bank,  cleaning up their grounds, putting different fellowship events.  We also donate Christmas gifts to them at the end of the year.

GraceFull Café

Vision: to create a healthier, stronger, more connected community Mission: to provide a home in the Littleton community where people of all backgrounds can gather, eat well and be inspired to give back.

We are a community cafe and believe that every guest deserves a good meal. When ordering, you can:

1.    Pay what you can afford, and GraceFull Foundation will pick up the difference (up to 100%). We call these Grace In Action meals.

2.    Donate or tip above the total amount of your meal (just like tipping at any other restaurant). Your generosity funds future Grace In Action & community meals!

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people from all walks of life to build simple, decent houses in which people can live and grow into all that God intended.” Habitat for Humanity is a community based home-ownership program. Homeowner candidates and volunteers build simple, decent homes throughout the metro area. Qualified families purchase Habitat homes with zero-interest loans and make mortgage payments based on 25 percent of the family’s income. Reinvestment of mortgage payments fund future construction.

IFCS -- Integrated Family Community Services

Have you seen the blue trash can that’s in the entryway? It goes to an Integrated Family Community Services.  They help people get back on their feet with “hand ups” as they like to call it.  They provide financial assistance, school supplies, holiday baskets, food, and clothing. By putting clothing and food items in the container helps people that truly need it.  When you give to IFCS you know that your items are going to a good place!

Love Inc – Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC)

Support individuals and families seeking assistance in their time of need. Love INC partners with local churches and other community organizations to provide support and guidance. They support the community by offering life skills classes, a food bank, a donated clothing store, and most importantly they walk alongside you in a time of need.

Lutheran Family Services

Be a foster care volunteer; touch a child's life forever. Lutheran Family Services provides caring foster care homes for hundreds of abused and abandoned children each year. These children now live in nurturing family environments, but they still need the positive influence of other adults. You can help. Through weekly, biweekly or monthly interaction with a child, you can provide the encouragement and nurturing he or she needs. Share a skill or hobby, be a mentor, play games, go to movies, help with homework. Brochures in the church office explain the program in depth.

Mission Quilters

Mission Quilters is a small group that meets every 1st and 3rd Mondays at 9:30am (at CLC) to make quilts for Lutheran Family Services, Outreach Uganda, New Mothers Ministry, and so much more!  Our Quilters have been recognized globally for their work in making sleeping mats for Children in Swaziland. New members welcome!

Outreach Uganda

Outreach Uganda (OU), a local nonprofit started by one of our members, reaches around the world empowering poor people in Uganda so that they can overcome severe poverty and become self-sustaining. CLC members provide tremendous support through assistance with selling the Ugandan women’s beaded jewelry here in the U.S., sponsoring the women’s children so they can attend school, serving as email pen pals, and contributing to a revolving loan fund so the Ugandan women can start their own small businesses.

All of this help is greatly appreciated by the Ugandan women, most of who live on less than $2 per day. OU welcomes all sorts of volunteer assistance. You can even volunteer in Uganda with the women beaders. Contact CLC member Carol Davis at (303)694-2335 for more information.

Urban Peak

Urban Peak is a shelter that helps homeless young people in Denver and Colorado Springs. Their mission is to help youth that are homeless, runaway or in at risk situations, overcome the challenges in their lives and to make changes by providing a safe, caring and stable environment to assist them in permanently exiting street life. CLC takes meals the 4th Friday of each month. You bring a meal for 35 - 45 kids and the kids do all the clean up so all you have to do is get there at 6:00 PM, set up and serve from 6:30 - 7:00 PM. The kids are just great, very polite and so appreciative!! This is a wonderful way to reach out to some wonderful teens who need some tender loving care.

Urban Servant Core

Urban Servant Corps is a faith-based, intentional community of full-time volunteers who seek to live simply while serving and accompanying those most in need at non-profit partner agencies in the heart of Denver.
