If Tomorrow Never Comes

Good Sunday Afternoon,

I know that many of you were looking for my message this morning and I appreciate that . . . but I wasn’t there. Well, I’m here now, but what if I weren’t . . . then what? That is the point of my message . . . pl

ease don’t take anything or anyone for granted. What if the things that you take for granted weren’t there anymore? Would you have adequately said goodbye; if appropriate, would you have said “I love you”; would you have said “I’m sorry (if that needed to be said); would you be good with it? We never know what tomorrow will bring.

Tomorrow could bring COVID complications, it could bring a cancer diagnosis, it could bring a number of undesired issues or situations. So, what if tomorrow never comes? The Bible encourages us to focus on today; to tend to those things and people that are here and now.

Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you. Proverbs 3:28

Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Matthew 6:34

So, what if tomorrow never comes? I didn’t know until I asked Garth, I asked Garth “. . . if tomorrow never comes, Will she know how much I loved her? Did I try in every way to show her every day That she's my only one? And if my time on earth were through; and she must face the world without me; is the love I gave her in the past, gonna be enough to last, if tomorrow never comes?

So, pour yourself a cup of your favorite afternoon beverage, sit back and relax, tell that someone that you love, just what you’re thinking of, and take solace in knowing that this is the day that the Lord has made; may you rejoice and be glad in it.
