Good Sunday Morning,
Inspiration . . . what inspires you? Think about that for a minute. Inspiration can come from a variety of sources. You can be inspired by inspirational quotes. You can be inspired by song lyrics. You can be inspired by leaders, and by other people in your life.
You can be inspired by things that you see. Heck, if you pay attention, sometimes you can even be inspired by cleaver bumper stickers. I know, you already know all that, but did you ever stop to realize that you may be the inspiration to others? Yes, you . . . OK, maybe not all of you, but most of you.
Turning back to what inspires you . . . what about our lord? Are you inspired by God? That may seem like a difficult question, but it really isn’t. Where I come from, being inspired means that you (i) strive to be like the source of your inspiration or (ii) endeavor to do what the saying, the lyric, or the sticker is telling you.
So, being inspired by God . . . yea, that’s actually easy. All you have to do is focus on what you have been told (and there are a million things we’ve been told), for example, “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16) or, what about when Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25). Personally, I think those are pretty decent words of inspiration, but hey, that’s just me.
Now, I realize that all of this calls for deep thought and I realize that its early in the morning, so let me try it differently . . . in the immortal words of one of my constant sources of inspiration, “you have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself any direction to choose.” Dr. Seuss.
So, pour yourself a cup of coffee, sit back, relax, and then . . . be an inspiration to someone else . . . and take solace in knowing that the Lord has made this day, may you rejoice and be glad in it.

P.P.S. As you head out to do whatever it is that you intend to do today, let me leave you with the words of my friend Louis - "I hear babies cry, I watch them grow, They'll learn much more, Than I'll ever know. And I think to myself, What a wonderful World.” Yes it is, my friends, yes it is.
